What inspired you to bring a fashion editorial approach to Tredudwell?
“I love to be creative, and wedding editorials have always been a fantastic way to develop a vision and see it come to life. They give me the chance to try out new photography and posing techniques while showcasing current wedding trends. I’ve always been drawn to Cornwall, so I was on the lookout for the perfect venue for this experience.
The moment I saw Tredudwell Manor online, I fell in love. I arranged to visit in person and met with Valerie, the owner, who shared my enthusiasm for the project. Her passion for the venue and weddings is so inspiring. The venue itself is incredible. It’s just a stone’s throw from the stunning Cornish coastline and blends the old and new seamlessly. The manor house is cosy and inviting, while the barn is a vast, open space with breathtaking views of the gardens and coast.”
Your style is so distinct. How did the Cornish coast and Tredudwell Manor’s backdrop shape your creative vision?
“I wanted to merge the dramatic, rugged beauty of the nearby coastline with the romantic charm of Tredudwell Manor. The contrast between the two created the perfect balance of elegance and natural drama, which really shaped the overall vision for the workshop.”
How do you think editorial details and an incredible line-up of suppliers can inspire real couples planning a wedding here?
“It really shows couples what’s possible. With carefully curated details and a talented team of suppliers, you can transform a space into something that feels completely personal and unique. We wanted to highlight how florals, décor, and thoughtful touches can bring a couple’s creative vision to life.”
Tredudwell welcomes couples from around the world. From your perspective, what makes Cornwall and Tredudwell in particular so special for destination weddings?
“Cornwall has everything you could want in a wedding destination. It’s steeped in history, full of timeless romance, and surrounded by dramatic landscapes that feel almost otherworldly. Tredudwell Manor is so well situated and accessible, with great road and transport links, making it easy for couples and their guests to get here. The proximity to the coast is the cherry on top!”
Editorial-style photography feels timeless yet contemporary. What advice do you give to couples who want their wedding photos to capture that same sense of artistry?
“Choose a photographer who specialises in that style and really understands your vision. It’s also important to stay true to what feels authentic to you as a couple. When you combine a shared creative vision with personal touches, the result is always something timeless and beautiful.”
Is there a moment or detail in a wedding at Tredudwell that helps you add that extra touch of romance?
“The gardens and arbour at Tredudwell are so romantic, for wedding ceremonies and portraits. It has that feel of being straight out of a fairytale. And, of course, the nearby coastline adds a sense of adventure and drama, offering such a unique dynamic.”
How do you balance your fashion-inspired look with capturing emotion on a wedding day?
“For me, it’s all about capturing connections in a carefully curated and thoughtful way. Fashion-inspired photography is about finesse, refinement, and composition, but it’s often the genuine emotions — the laughter, the quiet moments, the love — that bring it to life. I focus on creating a relaxed environment where couples feel comfortable, so their personalities and emotions shine through naturally, while also giving helpful direction on posing to ensure they look and feel their best.”
Finally, what’s one piece of advice you’d share with couples considering Tredudwell for their destination wedding?
“Embrace the beauty of the surroundings and let it inspire your day. Tredudwell offers so much versatility, from its historic charm to the stunning coastal views, so lean into that and make it your own. And make sure you schedule enough time throughout the day to really make the most of everything the venue has to offer.”
