It was Paul’s first time here as a Tredudwell Manor wedding photographer and he loved the experience so much he immediately added us to his list of ‘Top 25 Wedding Venues in Cornwall’. Here’s a few nice things that he had to say…
“Tredudwell Manor is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Cornwall”
“From a wedding photographer’s point of view, it’s an absolute dream to work at Tredudwell! Tons of natural light, beautiful and varied surroundings, characterful and stylish rooms, and space that can work in any weather conditions”
“Stylistically it’s a very flexible venue too. It would equally suit a formal black tie event as it would a rustic, bohemian wedding day, or a more festival feel. With the huge grounds you have plenty of room for garden games, and it’s such a nice place for your guests to go for an evening stroll to walk off the wedding breakfast! And the staff are superb; the wedding team at Tredudwell are absolutely lovely and run a really tight ship without being overbearing in any way.”
Rory & Katie’s English & Chinese wedding in Cornwall was a two-day event, with the first day a more traditional English country wedding, and the second day a Chinese celebration with a tea ceremony and a 12-course banquet! We love hosting all kinds of celebrations at Tredudwell Manor! Here are some more words from Paul about the weekend…
“What a weekend we had back at the end of August! The first day was the wedding ceremony itself and had the style of a relaxed and fun English country house wedding, with lawn games like croquet, a coconut shy, and a big cricket match, and all the traditional elements of a British wedding such as speeches, cake-cutting and first dance.”
As well as taking some lovely portraits on the grounds of Tredudwell, Paul managed to whisk Rory & Katie away after the meal for a short portrait session at Lansallos Bay, which is only a couple of minutes’ drive from Tredudwell Manor.
“The second day was a Chinese banquet and out came the super-colourful Chinese outfits. The day was focussed around two main events; a traditional Chinese tea ceremony in Tredudwell’s outdoor ‘wedding temple’, which was such a lovely event to witness; and a quite frankly epic 12-course Chinese feast! I’ve never seen so much food! I stayed for a while after to catch a few more portraits of the couple in the different outfits, and to catch some of the moments as they said goodbye to all their guests. Hugs, hugs and more hugs!”
