Who’s up for a dance? Join our Cornish ceilidh with live music and enjoy the chaotic joy of learning a new dance while everyone else figures it out alongside you. We’re bringing the magic to Tredudwell Manor on Saturday 2nd May 2026 for a Cornish ceilidh that’s open to everyone.
With many of our local pubs now closed, we wanted to create a space where the community could gather again for good food, great music, and bringing people together. Whether this is your first ceilidh or you’re a seasoned pro, this is going to be such a fun evening!
Meet the band: The Tinners Ceilidh Band

We’re thrilled to welcome The Tinners Ceilidh Band to Tredudwell Manor for the very first time. Based in West Cornwall, this experienced band plays traditional Irish and Scottish tunes handpicked for each dance, and they’re excited to explore this part of Cornwall and share their music with our local community.
The main lineup features:
Richard Hume (Flute & Whistle)
Emily Quick (Fiddle)
Paul Lewin (Guitar)
And leading the evening is their star caller, Claire Ingleheart, who’ll guide you through every dance. Claire is incredible at making everyone feel welcome whether you’re 12 or 82, a confident dancer or someone who’s never set foot on a dance floor.
Enjoy delicious food to fuel the dancing

We know that a ceilidh works up an appetite, so we’re serving hearty, warming food as part of your ticket. Choose from:
- Chilli Beef Taco Bowls – Rich, mildly spiced chilli beef served on a bed of coriander and paprika rice, topped with guacamole, roasted corn, and crispy corn tacos.
OR
- Roasted Vegetable Chilli (vegan-friendly) – Peppers, onions, beans, sweet potato, and zucchini, served on a bed of coriander and paprika rice, topped with guacamole, roasted corn, and crispy corn tacos.
- Pudding options will be confirmed closer to the date so watch this space!
Our fully stocked bar will be open all evening, serving drinks (cash or card accepted). And because we know some of you will want to enjoy a drink or two, we’ve included information on local taxis and nearby accommodation below.

What to Expect: A Ceilidh for Everyone
If you’ve never been to a ceilidh in Cornwall before, here’s what you need to know: it’s suitable for all ages and abilities. You don’t need to know the steps, you don’t need a partner, and you definitely don’t need to be coordinated. Claire will teach each dance before the music starts, and the whole point is to have fun!
This Cornish ceilidh is family-friendly and suitable for ages 10+ (younger children are welcome but may find the evening runs a little late).
Come along to eat, drink and be merry!
