Let me show you how to fill your days with beauty and make the most of your stay with us.
I love the secluded coves and beaches.
I do not think anyone can find a most relaxing way to connect with nature than lying on a sandy beach of one of the nearby secluded coves and listen to the waves and bird songs. To breathe out the daily worries and breathe in the sea air, just step out of our door and enjoy the short walk, our little paradise is only 10 minutes’ walk away.
Even in the height of the summer, our lovely coves and beaches are simply quiet. It is lovely to swim in water warmed up all day by the sun heating the rocks lying at bottom of the sea. There is nothing better than a swim at the end of a hike on the beautiful South West coast path. It is quite hard to describe with words but all I know is that sharing with you the little secret paths and places is a real joy!
Another nice way to relax is the exploring of our nearby river town: Fowey
Fowey is a great place to shop and eat surrounded by the unique scenery. You will find the most beautiful collection of pastel coloured cottages which are romantically on the river banks. All those beautiful colours are reflected on the river surface and the surrounding lush fields do really make the picture perfect postcard! Fowey is where land and sea merge on the horizon and there is nothing else to do but to enjoy the spectacle whilst sipping a sparkling drink on the waterfront before dinner. There are so many choices, from laid-back cafes or pubs to fine dining restaurants, every option is possible but in all cases, it will be hard to miss the local star, the delicious Fowey mussels, scallops and fish are definitely a favourite on the menus and nearly impossible to resist!
We are also super lucky to have only 7 minutes drive away the lovely Pub: The Old Ferry Inn @ Bodinnick, exceptional food and the terrace overlooking Fowey river quite a bonus!
Exploring… by foot:
A spectacular coastal walk with exceptional views: Hall Walk
Savour the still green waters of Pont Pill on a walk of exceptional beauty through woodland and creek, with striking views of Fowey Harbour. This is a favourite circular walk for many, which includes two ferry rides: from Fowey to Polruan and Fowey to Bodinnick.
And the good news is you can start the walk straight from the house and not worrying about parking the car!
For an alternative wilderness walk, why not try Bodmin Moor?
Only 30 minutes drive away, explore Bodmin Moor for a complete change of scenery, the ancient sites and natural pools are waiting for you!
Other great activities are the visits of our numerous and stunning Cornish gardens, including the Lost Garden of Heligan, Lanhydrock, Cothele and we are located only 7 miles away from the exceptional Eden Project!
