Sunshine, horses and heart-filled moments: Sam & Tash’s barn wedding in Cornwall

If you’re dreaming of a spring wedding filled with sunshine, sea views and countryside calm, Sam and Tash’s celebration at our romantic barn wedding venue in Cornwall is all the inspiration you need. From breakfast in the manor house to Tash’s unforgettable horseback arrival, their day was relaxed, personal and joyfully full of love.

A Calm Morning in the Manor

The day began quietly, with breakfast shared in the manor house surrounded by family and friends, the perfect mix of excitement and calm before the celebrations ahead. Sunshine streamed through the windows, promising the beautiful Cornish day they’d hoped for.

A Grand Arrival on Horseback

Their civil ceremony, conducted by My Cornwall Wedding, took place in the light-filled barn. But the moment everyone remembers most is of course Tash riding her horse, Dotty, down to the end of the aisle before walking the rest of the way with Sam. It was personal and so joyful, the kind of moment that makes a day unforgettable.

Drinks, Canapés & Cornish Sunshine

After saying their vows, guests gathered outside for Crémant, Pimm’s and canapés in the sunshine. Photographer Daniel Robinson captured every relaxed, happy moment. “We absolutely love his photos,” said the couple. “His style fit our wedding perfectly.”

A Feast to Remember

Food was always going to be special for Sam, who’s a chef, and Glynn Wellington, one of Tredudwell’s recommended caterers, created a menu to match.

Wedding Breakfast Menu:
– Salmon starter
– Fillet of Beef main
– Lemon Posset dessert

The meal was paired with red, white and rosé wines before guests drifted back outside to enjoy the gardens and speeches in the afternoon light.

A Homemade Wedding Cake & Family Touches

Their semi-naked wedding cake with scraped white icing and spun sugar flowers was made by Tash’s grandparents’ neighbour, a simple and heartfelt finishing touch that tied the day together beautifully.

Sunset Photos & Dancing ’til Midnight

Before the evening guests arrived, Sam and Tash stole a quiet moment together on the nearby clifftops for golden-hour photos overlooking the sea, Cornwall at its finest.

They returned in time to greet their evening guests, share their first dance, and dance beneath the barn lights until midnight, before heading back to the manor to end their perfect day.

Why They Chose Us

“We had the most amazing wedding at Tredudwell Manor! It is the most beautiful venue and it doesn’t matter the weather it always looks stunning.
We can’t thank the team enough for helping plan our wedding as we are not always the most organised but the whole day went so smoothly, they really make sure that every detail is thought out.

All of the staff are amazing and so lovely and friendly but especially Hayley, she was just brilliant, lovely to talk to and really helped us through the whole process of planning. Also Becky who did breakfast was lovely and so helpful!

Nothing was too much trouble for the team even when I said I wanted my horse to be there. Everyone said having a wedding was super stressful but we found our time at Tredudwell lovely and relaxing and enjoyed every second.

We would 100% recommend Tredudwell to anyone looking for a venue, we had the best day ever.”
